Campeón de Campeones | General Information

The Champion of Champions (Campeón de Campeones) is a tournament that is played between Mexican clubs that began in 1942. Since 2003, the two champions of the short tournaments of the annual football cycle (Apertura y Clausura) of the Liga MX face each other to get a winner. The winner of Champion of Champions goes to the Campeones Cup, which faces off with the winner of the Major League Soccer.

The Mexican team with most titles is Guadalajara which has taken the title over 7 times.
